Steps to apply for and obtain the FSSAI Food License in Guwahati

- 1. To start, applicants must visit the FoSCoS portal online and fill out the Form A i.e. the Application of Registration. Simultaneously, FBOs should fill out the Form B i.e. the application for Central or State License.
- 2. The applicants should upload and submit every mandatory document and the pre-requisite online fee on the FoSCoS portal or at the time of license application.
- 3. FSSAI may accept or reject your Form A application within the period of 7 days after it receives your registration application. The waiting period will be 60 days in case of an FSSAI license. Whether FSSAI rejects the registration or license request, it will intimate the applicant in writing.
- 4. FSSAI officers also have the right to raise a query to food business operators after they scrutinize each of your submitted documents. In this situation, you must provide additional documents, details, or clarification. If required, FSSAI may even inspect the food premise before it issues the FSSAI license.
- 5. Once the FSSAI Officers are satisfied, the FSSAI will issue a Basic Registration Certificate/License in Form C.
- 6. Every FBO applicant may download his FSSAI Registration Certificate or FSSAI License Certificate by logging into the official FoSCoS website.
